Community Engagement Coordinator
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, I enjoy helping clients understand the needs and desires of the communities impacted by their work. I spend much of my time interacting with the public in both English and Spanish, so that their voices and experiences can be brought back to our clients. This work at PRR allows me to see the influence that the input of local communities can have on projects and decisions, and it is rewarding to see how their involvement causes positive impact to their day-to-day lives. In the past, I have worked and volunteered at local medical clinics to help with Spanish-English interpretation and translation, and I look forward to getting back into this volunteer work in the near future. When not working, I enjoy spending my time with friends or doing anything and everything music related, whether listening to something new, playing random songs in my room alone, or practicing and playing shows with the band I’m in.
People are at the heart of our work, and we have some really great people.
We help our clients change the world for the better. Interested in joining the team?
An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
