I coordinate outreach to communities affected by client projects which includes thinking through how to reach people where they are and in ways that resonate so they stay informed and engaged. Working at PRR allows me to collaborate with a passionate team that embraces the challenge of complex projects that address intersecting community issues. In the past, I have been involved in a wide array of civic engagement campaigns and volunteer projects, but as a new Seattleite, I am excited to find new opportunities to be of service to my community outside of work. As someone who self-identifies as an “adventurous homebody,” I enjoy regularly exploring new interests while also maintaining the cozy comforts of baking, crafting, and watching movies at home.

I help produce meaningful and effective video content for our clients, primarily as an editor and animator. Thinking through how to tell the best story visually—through shot footage or animation—is an incredibly rewarding process. Animation work is a limitless sandbox to get to play in and creating scenarios and characters for an audience to connect with is always a joy. In addition to work at PRR, I’ve been a freelance editor and commercial actor, directed several personal film and video projects with friends, and produced more than 160 episodes of an improvised podcast. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends, creating digital art, playing video games, and befriending the birds that frequent our condo balcony.

I help our clients visually communicate clear and compelling messages through graphic design. While most of our work focuses on established styles and brands, I try to add a bit of fun and pizazz to our product whenever possible. I love that what I’m creating informs and engages the public in one way or another – something truly special about work at PRR. Outside the office, I like to pursue other creative endeavors, whether it’s an extra side project or participating in an art show. When I’m not working, I’m all about spending time with family and friends, watching cartoons, and drawing.

I'm the invoice wrangler, which means I track people down to verify incoming invoices for approvals and processing. I love the PRR work environment and how it represents the company values: relaxed yet professional, collaborative, and friendly to all! It's a place where there is opportunity and encouragement to grow (makes me smile). Outside of the office, I help others through spiritual coaching. Sometimes my own spiritual coaching means a day at the spa!

I support our machine of a Business Development team to make sure we stay on track and organized. The people at PRR make it easy to show up to work each day because the talent, passion, and kindness is inspiring. We care about our work and we care about the communities we serve. Outside of work, you might find me at UW football games (go Dawgs!) or spending as much time as possible with my dog.

As a senior web developer, I am responsible for building and maintaining websites for PRR’s public- and private-sector clients. I’m excited about the opportunity to create the technology that supports organizations dedicated to making positive changes. Outside of my work in tech, I’ve helped direct investment into revitalizing underserved communities, ensuring properties remain affordable and accessible through government housing subsidies while promoting sustainable growth. In my free time, I love traveling and spending time outdoors. Some of my favorite activities include snowboarding, whitewater rafting, paddleboarding, and riding motorcycles.

I like to think of myself as a perspective translator and a shared vision detective. At PRR, I put these skills to use as the communications team lead for WSDOT’s Puget Sound Gateway Megaprogram. This means I get to work with an integrated team of planners, contractors, environmental scientists, communicators, outreach specialists, and more to help extend their vision to a variety of audiences across the Puget Sound region. Before joining PRR, I spent a decade applying my perspective translator (and sometimes actual translator) skills in the field of public health, as a program manager and then external relations director for a center of the University of Washington’s Department of Global Health. As such, I am a lifelong advocate for health equity and a newly minted champion of the benefits of a multimodal and inclusive built environment. When I’m not DIY-ing at home (for better or for worse), you should probably look for me on a ski slope, SCUBA diving, or researching a vacation where I can somehow manage to do both.

Community Engagement
My role at PRR exists to give guidance, strategy, and project management support to our clients through the delivery work products that maximize public involvement for a variety of initiatives. What I love most about my job is the ability to see a project through to completion. I hope that my work ensures that community voices are heard. Outside of my work, I am most proud of my travel experiences. I have lived in four states and traveled to 15 countries. My favorite way to travel is on a cruise ship. If I could spend my entire life on a cruise ship, I think I would do it. I love trying new foods, attending concerts and shows, and exploring new destinations.

Vision statement of anti-racism.

An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This  includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
